Propylene Glycol Industrial Grade (PGI) is produced by the high temperature and pressure hydrolysis of Propylene Oxide (PO) with excess water. PGI is a distilled material of greater than 99.50% purity.
PGI is colorless, odorless, water soluble, nontoxic liquid with low vapor pressure, medium viscosity. It is used in numerous industries, having a wide range of practical applications, such as Polyester resins, paints, coatings, antifreeze coolants.
