The Department of Veterans Affairs, Oklahoma City VAMC, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, with SEED Biosciences for a Cell Printer Fear Conditioning System in support of VA research, Dynamics of the Brain Epigenome with Aging . This specific system is required for accommodating cell printer with automated and impedance-based device that dispenses single cells in microplate wells in a very controlled and gentle way. This technology has a few advantages over a classical cell sorter: it is much gentler and has the ability to tell where a single cell has been dispensed, and where a doublet or no cell has been pipetted, which speeds up downstream processes and is critical to the VA. This is a notice of intent and is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any responsible source who can provide an equivalent product with these features described above may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than March 18th, 4:30PM, EST. Interest/capability statements may be sent to Lynn Portman at lynn.portman@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
