RFI Responses:
1. Please confirm the R-values required for the roof and walls.
The required values are: Roof R-19, Walls R-13.
2. Should the “Building Use/Importance/Risk Category” be “Type IV Essential Facility” or
“Type II Standard Occupancy”?
The Building type is Type II, The Occupancy Category is IV Essential Facility
3. Spec section 133419, 2.2 G refers to liner panels on the roof. Detail 3 on A5.2 shows
metal decking, yet none of the other sections or specifications refer to either. What is
the intended roof construction?
The roof should be metal decking with encapsulated batt insulation.
4. Spec section 133419, 2.2 H refers to liner panels on the walls as indicated on the
drawings. There are no specifications for liner panels. Section 2 on A5.1 indicates
something on the inside of the girts but not labelled. Is this a liner panel? If so, what is
the material that is intended?
Interior walls to be 5/8” abuse resistant gyp board.
5. The wall panel specification 133419, 3.6 refers to both single skin wall panel and foam
filled insulated wall panels. Which is intended?
The walls above the CMU should be insulated wall panels.
6. Washer and Dryer are called out on the plans as an Add Alternate. No specifications
have been provided. Please clarify.

7. Truck lift is called out on the plans as an Add Alternate. No specifications have been
provided. Please clarify.
See attached cut sheet for Mohawk model TR-110 truck lift.
8. Please clarify where wall section 1/A5.2 applies. Detail calls for 8” block and bond beam.
Other details show 12” block and no beam.
All new CMU walls are 12” CMU.

10. Do not see a finish schedule on the plans. What is required to be painted?
New exposed CMU, Gyp board, and columns should be painted. Ref. specification section
099123.
11. Do not see a Floor Finish Schedule on the plans. Any finish required on the concrete
slab?
Floor to be sealed as called for in Specification Section 099123-3.5-A.
12. Are the CMU partitions at Parts Bay 101 in the Base Bid or part of the Add Alternate
Mezzanine?
The CMU partitions are part of the base bid.

17. Drawing P-3 symbol C washer-extractor is noted on the fixture piping schedule. Who is
responsible for the purchase of the equipment?
The washer-extractor is Add alternate #2 for the project, see attached cut sheet on the
washer-extractor.
18. Drawing P-3 symbol D PPE drying cabinet is noted on the fixture piping schedule. Who is
responsible for the purchase of this equipment?
The drying cabinet is part of Add Alternate #2 for the project, see attached cut sheet on
the drying cabinet.
19. Drawing A5.1 wall section 1 is unclear if the 2 layers of 5/8” Fire Rated Drywall and Batt
Insulation is existing or new? Please clarify.
The drywall and batt insulation shown in Drawing A5.1 is in the existing building.

20. Drawing A5.1 wall Section 4 indicates to see Structural Drawings for Steel Lintel Size &
type. The Structural Drawings do not provide this information. Please clarify.
The structural steel and lintel information should be included in the metal building shop
drawings.
21. Drawing M-1 notes 2 and 3 indicate to repair walls at removed louvers. Architectural
drawings do not indicate the repairs or detail what is required at the repairs. Please
clarify.
On the surface that is currently the exterior of the building, a panel that matches the
corrugation should be installed and painted to match the surrounding wall. The openings
on interior should be covered with metal panels and painted to match the interior wall.
22. Are there divisions of work that should be in the specification manual such as MEP’s and
Civil beyond Division 13?
The MEP and Civil specifications are included in the drawings.
23. Drawing C02 indicates to install a New 1000 Gallon Oil/Water Separator for floor drains
and also shows new piping to the new addition and also notes to abandon the existing
interior 2000 – gallon Oil/Water Separator. Drawing P-1 shows the new floor drains
piped to the existing piping inside the existing building before the existing 2000-gallon
Oil/Water Separator (no reference to abandon and re-pipe the existing). Drawings are
not coordinated. Please advise.
The MEP and Civil specifications are included in the drawings. See attached revised
Drawing P-1.
