The following information becomes part and parcel of Fixed Price Bid (IFB) #124-113-6-6 effective this
date. Firms must acknowledge receipt of this addendum in their solicitation response.
The listed items add to, modify, or otherwise alter the specifications and become part of the solicitation
documents. Where a portion of the original specifications are added to, modified, or also altered, the
portion not so affected shall remain. Firms may have the right to protest this addendum.
Bid Opening Change
The Bid opening for this solicitation has been shifted by 2 weeks and bids will now be due on June 20th,
2024 at 10AM. All other dates remain the same.
Inquiries/ District Responses
Before the solicitation inquiry deadline of March 30th, 2024, the District received inquiries regarding
this solicitation. The District’s response to each question follows in bold font.
1. The RFP specifies that solutions are for K-12. Will the district consider solutions that cover only
a range of those grades e.g. K-5, K-8, 6-8, or 9-12?
Yes all solutions that encompass K-12 in bands will be considered.
2. The RFP has a number of specifications (beginning on page 8). Should these be considered as
"required" (if not available in the proposed solution, the provider will not be considered, or the
proposal will be considered "non-responsive") or "desired" (the district would like to have the
feature(s) but the absence of the feature will not exclude a solution from consideration?
This is a Fixed Price Bid, not a Request for Proposals. The District seeks to have a variety
of vendors who meet the specification requirement partially or in whole to be added to this
contract. Usage of the vendors will be determined at each school on an as needed basis.
3. The RFP has an extensive list of requirements to be addressed in the proposal with a relatively
short turnaround for providers. Will the district consider extending the submission deadline to
June 11th to allow providers time to provide the most responsive, complete, and useful proposals
for the district. Yes, deadline is extended in this addendum.

4. Does the district require or prefer one solution for both math and reading?
The District has no preference for this bid, bidders are encouraged to submit the solutions
they offer.
5. How many vendors does the district anticipate awarding?
There is no maximum number of vendors that may be awarded for this solicitation.
6. Is a discount required, or is 5% required only if offering a discount?
Bidders who offer less than 5% or no discount may be considered for award if it is in the
best interest of the District.
7. Will the District accept partial grade bands (i.e. K-5, K-8)?
Yes all solutions that encompass K-12 in bands will be considered.
8. Will the district consider a program that is print-only for students but includes a robust online
professional learning resource?
Yes, both online/digital and print-only bids will be accepted.
9. Is the district seeking only a K-12 solution or will it consider grade band programs (K-3, 4-12,
e.g.)?
Yes all solutions that encompass K-12 in bands will be considered.
10. Will the district consider a program where the main instruction is provided by a teacher using
print materials, but there are student-facing digital practice resources?
Yes, both online/digital and print-only bids will be accepted.
11. Must an Alignment to South Carolina Standards document be provided with the submission?
No, just an indication that it is specifically aligned.
12. Will the district consider a program that includes Tier 1 and 2, or is the District seeking a free-
standing Tier 2 program?
The solicitation just says "tiered" interventions and MTSS systems, which is Tiers 1 - 3, so
as long as proposers "address" what they have for the entire scope (even if there isn’t
something specific it can be identified by tier)
13. How many students and teachers per grade level will participate in Tier 2?
Not pertinent to submit a bid.
14. How many students and teachers per grade level will participate in Tier 3?
Not pertinent to submit a bid.
15. Would an online supplemental curriculum in ELA be in the scope of this RFP?
Bidders may present supplemental curriculum submissions as a part of the bid.

16. Would the district accept a supplemental print curriculum that has digital components?
Yes, print and digital or a combination of both will be accepted.
17. Is the district planning to make multiple awards? Are solutions intended for students with
moderate to severe disabilities?
This is a Fixed Price Bid with the intent of getting as many vendors as possible on the
contract to provide fixed pricing to meet the requirements of the solicitation and the
District.
18. Can each product's discount percent be different?
Yes, bidders may offer different discounts on each product offered. Specify as an
attachment to bid schedule.
19. Do all products and services submitted to this FPB require the same fixed percent discount?
No, refer to question #18.
