RFP# 24-0528, AUDIO SYSTEM UPGRADE (HILSMAN MIDDLE SCHOOL)

All respondents are hereby advised of the following amendments to the Request for Proposals (“RFP”) document

which are hereby made an integral part of the proposal documents for the subject contract, prepared by the Clarke

County School District (“CCSD or District”).

Proposals submitted shall be deemed to include contract document information as shown in ADDENDUM NO. 1.

Respondents shall be required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum in their proposal response. Failure to

acknowledge receipt of this addendum by the respondent may result in the rejection of their proposal response.

This addendum must be completed, signed and submitted with your proposal response to be considered for award.

If you have already submitted a proposal, please complete the addendum and submit same in a sealed envelope,

clearly marked with the “RFP# 24-0528, AUDIO SYSTEM UPGRADE (HILSMAN MIDDLE SCHOOL)”, response date,

and return address. This will be accepted as part of your proposal response, PROVIDING IT IS RECEIVED BY THE

PURCHASING DEPARTMENT BY THE TIME AND DATE SPECIFIED IN THIS DOCUMENT.

The Addendum becomes a part of the Original document and Modifies, as noted below:

REVISED:

The rack should be mounted in the concessions stand, the room adjacent to the gym

court, but not accessible from the gymnasium court.

REVISED:

A wall plate shall be added to the shared wall between the concessions and the gym floor

for all inputs.

The floor plate in the gymnasium can be abandoned.

During our walk through, it was discussed that a print of the Gym would be available.

Would the prints be emailed to us? How can we access the prints?

Yes, it is included.

May the submission deadline extend to Friday, May 31, 2024, due to the upcoming

Memorial Day holiday?

The RFP deadline was extended to May 30, 2024 at 1:00 PM (EDT)

Regarding the removal of the old equipment/hardware - Will the school keep or discard

the of old equipment? Who is responsible for the disposal?

No, the school will not keep the old equipment. The awarded contractor will be

responsible for the removal and disposal of all debris and equipment.

Is there a preference for the location of the rack?

The rack shall be mounted in the concession stand area; the room adjacent to the gym

court. (See Plan)

We may opt to include a tablet as the optional mobile station. For the system I have in

mind, a user can connect a phone or tablet to wirelessly via Bluetooth to the system to

play music/ media, as well as the capability to connect to the 3.5mm/ 1/8” audio jack in

the floor. It will include a rugged case and stand to hold it and a mic.

Would there be a preference for iPad or android/ galaxy tablet?

The mixer will require network connection. Will that be an issue with your IT department?

Since this is an optional item, the preference would be up to the Proposer to provide

sufficient information.

With our wireless network, it will not usually allow devices to connect to one another like

this. It’s a security issue so it’s blocked and hard to get around. IT would prefer the

Bluetooth option, although the person controlling it would need to be closer because

Bluetooth doesn’t have the range that Wi-Fi does.
