Notice is hereby given that SEALED BIDS will be received by the Purchasing Coordinator in person at the City of Gilroy Council Chambers, 7351 Rosanna Street, Gilroy, CA 95020, from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM, PST, on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, for the FY24 Annual Citywide Curb Ramp Project No. 24-PW-286. Bids will be publicly opened and read at 2:00 PM.

The work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, incidentals, and equipment necessary to remove existing curb ramps (or remove sidewalk if there are no existing curb ramps present) and construct new ADA-compliant curb ramps, remove and replace curb and gutter, and sidewalks to meet ADA compliance; minor asphalt replacement and pavement striping; curb markings; stormwater management; and other incidentals thereto, in various locations in the City of Gilroy, as outlined in these plans and specifications.

This project requires the Contractor to propose appropriate curb ramp types (depending on site conditions) and lay out, field fit, and install ADA-compliant curb ramps. It shall be the Contractor’s responsibility to be familiar with the site locations prior to bid. The cost of all such incidental work shall be included in the various bid prices and no additional or direct payment will be made therefor.

Bids delivered before January 9 at 2:00 PM must be delivered to the City Hall Information Desk at the northeast entrance of City Hall. City Hall is currently open Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and Fridays by appointment only. Bids received after the stated time and date will not be accepted. The City of Gilroy will not be responsible for delayed deliveries or deliveries made to another location other than the location specified above. Bids should be in a sealed envelope plainly marked with the project title, project number, bidder’s name, and time and date of the bid opening.
