The Paulding County Board of Commissioners will receive sealed proposals at Paulding County
Watson Complex, Administration Building, 240 Constitution Boulevard, Dallas, Georgia 30132
until:
10:00 AM (DATE), February 9, 2024
For the following equipment:
Fire Department Pumper Apparatus
Bid No. 24021-3401
Proposals will be opened and read aloud shortly after 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, at the Paulding County
Watson Complex, Administration Building, 240 Constitution Boulevard, Dallas, Georgia 30132. All
bidders are invited to attend. Bids received after the time set or by telephone facsimile will not be
considered.
The approximate extent and character of the work is generally described as follows:
Acquisition of Three (3) pumper apparatus engines for the Paulding County Fire Department
with a minimum 240 calendar day delivery preferred.
Units with different specifications shall have bids submitted per unit.
Bidders shall inform themselves concerning Georgia Laws and comply with same.
Prospective bidders may obtain bidding documents (i.e., specifications) via email at
purchase@paulding.gov. Please include company contact information.
All questions regarding the specifications, or the bid process, must be submitted in writing, via email,
to the Purchasing Office, at purchase@paulding.gov.
All bids must be on the BID PROPOSAL UNIT PRICE FORM furnished with the specifications.
The Bid Proposal Unit Price Form must be completed in full.
The OWNER is not obligated to consider a Bidder’s proposal, if the Bidder does not meet the following
criteria:
1.
Valid proof of Insurance, equal to or exceeding the Owner’s requirements.
2.
List of three references where the Bidder has performed similar work.
3.
The contractor must be able to bond 100% of the cost of the submitted bid, through
a surety company with the qualifications listed below.
Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond with good and sufficient surety or sureties approved by the
owner for faithful acceptance of the contract, payable to, in favor of, and for the protection of the
OWNER in an amount equivalent to five percent (5%) of the total amount payable by the terms of the
contract or, in lieu thereof, in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check, or cash in equal amount.

The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish performance bonds with the executed Agreement
meeting the requirements of the Contract Documents and executed on the forms attached to the
Agreement.
Surety and insurance companies must have an AM Best rating of A-6 or greater, be listed in the Federal
Registry of Companies holding Certificates of Authority and Acceptable Sureties on Federal Bonds, and
be licensed by the Georgia Insurance Department and the Georgia Secretary of State to do business in the
State of Georgia.
Bidders must comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Anti-Kickback Act, the
Contract Work Hour Standard Act, and the National Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970.
Bidders must certify that they do not and will not maintain or provide for their employees any
facilities which are segregated on a basis of race, color, creed, or national origin.
All proposals will remain subject to acceptance for 90 days after the day of the opening, but OWNER
may, in its sole discretion, release any proposal and return the Bid security prior to that date.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, to waive formalities and re-advertise.
