Sole Source Intent. Directorate of Contracting Yuma, Mission Installation Contracting Command, Enterprise and Installation (E&I); Operations, Yuma Proving Ground, Arizona, intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis with Antennas for Communications (AFC), 350 Cypress Road, Ocala, FL 34472. The requirement is for (1)ea. dual speed antenna control unit, (1)ea. foundation kit, and (1)ea. motorized dual axis 7-meter antenna. This is a re-engineering antenna pedestal for U.S. Army Cold Region Test Center, Fort Greely, Alaska, for their 7 meter NOAA satellite dish. This unit must be purchased from the original manufacture of their satellite dish, AFC. Because of propriety pieces and the engineering of the antenna pedestal to mount to their existing 7 meter satellite dish, this is the only pedestal configuration that will align up with the dish. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 334220 with a standard size of 750 employees. This action is solicited as unrestricted. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
