Synopsis:

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), New Mexico VA Health Care System, 1501 San Pedro Dr SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108-5154 intends to negotiate a Sole Source Progrement for a daVinci S Surgical System with Intuitive Surgical, Inc. of 950 Kifer Road, Sunnyvale, Ca 94086. This simplified acquisition procurement is being accomplished in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1. The daVinci S Surgical System is a robotic surgical system for performance of robotic prostatectomy. The daVinci S Surgical System comes with the following: Surgeon Console; HD Vision System; 4-arm Patient Side System; Accessories Starter Kit; HD Camera Starter Kit; Training instruments starter kit; initial installation and on-site maintenance inspection; and 12-month service maintenance coverage. The daVinci S Surgical System integrates 3D HD endoscopy and state-of-the-art robotic technology to virtually extend the surgeon's eyes and hands into the surgical field. The davinci S Surgical Systems includes a 1-year warrant for parts and service, on-site installation with on-site maintenance inspection. The applicable NAICS for this requirement is 339112. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will NOT be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the contracting officer. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be sent to the contracting officer (90C) ATTN: Pat Amidon, NMVAHCS, 1501 San Pedro Dr SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. If no responses are received, the NMVAHCS will proceed with the sole source procurement to Intuitive Surgical, Inc.
