The National Park Service, Yosemite National Park, (YOSE) has identified a requirement to remove and transport old decks outside of Park. Design and construct decks at two (2) residences in Wawona, Ca., within Yosemite National Park. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the Department of Interiors (DOI) National Business Center (NBC) web site at http://www.ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available. Interested contractors desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the web site. Contractors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http://www.ideasec.nbc.gov. The service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. Subscribers to this service are ultimately responsible for reviewing the web site for all information relevant to this solicitation. " Project Description: The anticipated order includes, but is not limited to the following: To remove the existing decks from the building structures. Load and transport old materials outside of Yosemite National Park and dispose of the material at an approved disposal site. Design and construct two (2) decks to current construction material manufacturer's specifications, building code requirements, and industry standards. The NPS shall review and approve the system materials, components, application schedules, and methods prior to contract award. This procurement is restricted to Hub Zone Set Aside.. The Request for Proposals (RFP) will be issued o/a August 20, 2008 with a closing date of o/a September 20 2008.

In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Part 36, the estimated magnitude of construction is between $25,000 and $100,000. NAICS Code for this project is 236118.

Award selection will be based on the overall best value to the government after considering price and factors other than price.
