I1700080608. This solicitation as well as any issued amendments will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov website on or about July 24, 2008. A PAPER SOLICITATION PACKAGE WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Telephone, fax, or email requests for this solicitation will not be accepted. The work of this contract is for construction of new bus stops, auto passenger drop off and a pedestrian plaza for the Jordan Pond House, Seal Harbor Maine. The scope of this contract includes removal of an existing asphalt drive and a service road, vegetation, brick and concrete walkways, and other incidental removals. This contract will construct new asphalt access roads, concrete paver bus parking/stops, a new brick and concrete plaza and walkways, site lighting, and a wood frame pergola. Landscaping, planting, fencing, drainage, seating, signage and utility relocation incidental to this work will also be completed. A concrete foundation for a 26 ft. by 39 ft. building addition, behind the new plaza and entrances, will also be included in this contract. Work is to be completed between September 2008 through May of 2009. NAICS 238990, All Other Specialty Trade Contractors. This solicitation is set aside for HubZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, and Women Owned small businesses. Estimated price is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. A site visit is scheduled for Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at 9:00 am. Meet at the Jordan Pond House on the Park Loop Road, Acadia National Park, Seal Harbor, Maine. All offerors are encouraged to attend and should bring a copy of the solicitation package with them. Hard copy bid documents only shall be accepted for this solicitation (no faxed or electronic bid documents will be accepted). Bids must be received at Acadia National Park, P. O. Box 177, Route 233, McFarland Hill, Bar Harbor, Maine 04609 by close of business on August 26, 2008. A complete bid package shall include three copies of completed SF 1442, Solicitation. Offer, and Award, all with original signatures; completed Section K, Representations and Certifications, and bid bond.
