Synopsis:

Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor, materials and equipment necessary to perform work for project 538-08-120, entitled "Remodel Main Kitchen, Bldg. 7" at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Chillicothe, Ohio, as required by drawings and specifications. The work includes, but is not limited to, general construction work, HVAC, plumbing, roofing, concrete, and electrical work. Work to be completed with 480 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Plans, specifications, and drawings will be available on line o/a April 30, 2008. Hard copies of specification and drawings will be available upon written request to the Contracting Officer; requests may be faxed to 740-772-7008. Estimated cost range is between $1,000,000.00 and $2,000,000.00. A pre-bid-conference will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. (local time) in Building 1, Room 121 at the VA Medical Center,17273 State Route 104, Chillicothe, Ohio; all prospective contractors, subcontractors and suppliers are urged to attend. This will be the only site visit scheduled for this project. Bid Opening June 4, 2008 at 2:00 pm (local time). This project is 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business.
