Description
This is a pre-solicitation notice for a contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and supervision to construct a new parking lot and walkway. The work consists of the general construction of replacement concrete sidewalk and asphalt surfaced parking lot including compacted fill. Compacted fill and a concrete sidewalk, reworked parking lot lighting, and a modular block retaining wall with barrier rail will be constructed from the reworked parking lot to the Taft House property. In addition, general site clearing and landscaping of the parking area will be completed to clean up debris in the vacant lot. The project performance period is 120 days after issuance of the notice to proceed. The NAICS code is 238990. The small business size standard is $13.0 million. The estimated price range for this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. This project is being solicited and awarded in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, Public Law 100-656. Accordingly, it is open to both small and large businesses. The solicitation with specifications, drawings, bid schedule, and wage rates will be posted to the websites http://www.fedbizopps.gov and http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about January 29, 2008. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed or issued. To receive the Invitation for Bid package you must download it from http://ideasec.nbc.gov.
