Description
Pre-Solicitation Notice for project no. 673-08-102, entitled "Oncology CT Site Prep", Solicitation No. VA248-08-RP-0204. The James A Haley VA Hospital (JAHVAH), located in Tampa Florida, will be replacing CT scan equipment, renovating the control room area, and constructing a new wait area. Project scope includes but is not limited to: mold investigation, selective demolition, alteration and removal of sheet rock, plaster ceiling, flooring, ductwork, duct insulation, HVAC units and associated components, pipe insulation; upgrade of floor structural integrity under the gantry; installation of conduit, wire, and equipment for electrical service as well as network, telephone, intercom, nurse call, code blue, security, fire, and CCTV systems; installation of medical gases; relocation of exhaust hood system; removal of old CT equipment/machine and any hazardous materials. Work shall be completed within 120 calendar days after receipt of a Notice to Proceed (NTP). Applicable NAICS 238910, size standard $13.0 million. This is a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside procurement, in accordance with (IAW) the authority listed at 38 U.S.C. 8127. Cost range is from $250,000 to $500,000. A bid bond/guarantee is required with bid/proposal, and performance and payment bonds are required after award. IMPORTANT: To be eligible for award the Contractor must be registered at http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/ A Site Visit is highly encouraged and recommended. The Contractor is responsible for reviewing the entire job site and existing site conditions prior to bid/proposal submission. See solicitation for Scheduled Site Visit date, time and contact info. Experience: Contractors who have at least three (3) years of recent, concurrent and relevant (same exact or very similar type of work) experience are strongly encouraged to participate in this procurement. Follow solicitation instructions on submission requirements, and pay close attention to all suspense dates (i.e. RFI cutoff, site visit, bid/proposal due date, etc.). Anticipate Solicitation package will be posted at www.Fedbizopps.gov on or about 26 March 2008, plan documents will be included and due date of bid/proposal will be prominently stated. Any amendments will also be posted at this web site. Participating Qualified Contractors are required to submit a hard copy of the their bid/proposal package to arrive at the JAHVAH, Attention KAWAN AFRE (90C), 13000 Bruce B Downs Blvd., Tampa Florida 33612.
