Synopsis:

The VA Medical Center, 1400 Blackhorse Hill Road, Coatesville, PA has a requirement to Improve Patient Bath/Toilet Facilities at the VA Medical Center in Coatesville, PA. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to improve patient bath/toilet facilities. Renovate and extend existing bathrooms to include new sinks and drains, toilets, shower renovation, new drains for the patients shower, ceramic walls, seamless flooring, ceiling tiles and grids, grab bars, exhaust fans, electric, HVAC, painting and demolition. All work shall be performed in accordance with all ADA Requirements and Department of Veterans Affaire Barrier Free Design Guide PG-18-13, and National Electrical Codes. The work shall be completed within 270 days from Notice To Proceed. The NAICS (North American Industry Classification System) Code is 236220. The anticipated completion time for this project is 270 calendar days and the government estimated cost range is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The solicitation is 100% Set-Aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns capable of performing the required work. Drawings and specifications for Solicitation IFB VA-244-08-IB-0231 will be available for pick-up on a limited first come first serve basis on or about 05/13/2008 at a refundable cost of $100.00 per set, payable to the VA Medical Center, at the VA Medical Center, 1400 Blackhorse Hill Road, Building 19S, Coatesville, PA 19320. Drawings and specifications must be returned to the VA Medical Center, Coatesville, Pa no later than 06/30/2008 for refunds. There will be a pre-bid meeting and walk thru conducted on 05/21/2008 at 10:00 a.m. All interested bidders are to meet at Building 19 South at 10:00 a.m. All requests for information must be in writing and sent to the Contracting Officer by 3:00 p.m. on 05/23/2008. Sealed bids are due at the VA Medical Center, 1400 Blackhorse Hill Road, Building 19 South, 542/90C, Coatesville, Pa 19320 by 10:00 a.m. on 06/13/2008.
