PROJECT NAME HAS BEEN CHANGED TO ICE CAVES TRAIL BRIDGE INSTALLATION

This project consists of the reconstruction of a 187 ft long, and 6 ft wide trail bridge that was partially destroyed in the November 2006 flood. The preliminary plans are to replace both the destroyed glu-lam girders and the remaining glu-lam girders with aluminum trusses supported by the remaining three piers, one old abutment and one new abutment. The new structure will be somewhat longer (about 210 ft. total). This contract will include the installation of a Government furnished aluminum superstructure, as well as new bents/abutments of steel and/or timber. Work includes, but is not limited to, removal of old timber and hardware; aluminum, steel and/or timber assembly. The project is not in wilderness and mechanized equipment will be allowed on site. The start work date is approx September 1, 2008 . The project shall be completed no later than November 15, 2008 . The Government's estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000.
