This is a RESTRICTED PROCUREMENT- 100% SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. This notice is released to announce a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers District; New Orleans is soliciting for proposals for Performance Based Services for Grounds Maintenance at the Algiers Levee. Algiers Levee is located on the east side of the Algiers Canal from the Algiers Lock to Walker Road and on the West side of the Algiers Canal to Buras Drive. The solicitation will be issued in accordance with FAR Part 12. The requirement calls for mowing services, including but not limited to furnishing all labor, equipment, fuel, supplies, and materials necessary to mow and herbicide sprayings. Award will be made to the offeror with the ability to fulfill the aggregate of the requirements. The resultant contract will be a firm-fixed price service contract and the performance period is 1 base year and 4 renewable option years. The anticipated contract starts date 1 September 2008. The provisions and clauses incorporate one or more solicitation provisions by reference, with the same force and effect as if they were given in full text. The offeror is cautioned that the listed provisions may include blocks that must be completed by the offeror and submitted with his/his quotation or offer. A site visit is highly recommended. This action is set aside 100% for Service Disabled Veteran Small Business concerns under NAICS code 561730 , size standard $6.5M. The provisions at 52.212-1, Instructions of Offerors Commercial Items, apply to this solicitation. The provisions at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-- Commercial Items, and 52.219-1 Alt 1, Small Business Program Representations. The contractor shall return a completed copy of these provisions with its proposal. A copy of the provisions may be obtained from http://www.arnet.gov/far. Full text clauses may be viewed at www.farsite.hill.af.mil. The anticipated solicitation release date will be issued on or about 25 July 2008. The solicitation documents for this procurement will be posted on Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI). You can access these files from a link located on FedBizOps (www.fbo.gov).
