Contractor shall provide all tools, materials, components, permits, license, and supervision for the following construction projects in Building 1 at the Nebraska Western Iowa Health Care System Omaha Division, 4101 Woolworth Avenue, Omaha, Nebraska 68105: (1) Relocate Release of Information, Project No. 636-08-805 - Contractor to provide all services and materials necessary to add two service counters to Room 1419. Major elements of work include, but not limited to, demo recessed light fixtures, demo the section of the ACT ceiling needed for project, demo floor covering in project area, install standard metal frame walls with 5/8 gypsum drywall, install HM window frames with tempered glass, install service counter and partition walls, install new ACT ceiling to match existing area, install new carpet in project area, patch and paint existing walls in project area, patch VCT as needed to match existing, install four additional 4-plex receptacle drops, install four additional 4-plex data/communication drops, install two additional 2x2 recessed light fixtures and install one additional light switch; (2) Expand Agent Cashier, Project No. 636-08-806 - Contractor to provide all services and materials necessary to expand and upgrade the corridor walls of the agent cashier room 1417. Major elements of work include, but not limited to, demo the section of the ACT ceiling needed for project, install standard metal frame walls with 5/8 gypsum drywall over bullet resistant fiberglass panels, install new ACT ceiling to match existing area, patch VCT as needed to match existing and install one additional 2x4 recessed light fixture; (3) Remodel Medical Records Area Room B609, Project No. 636-08-807 - Contractor to provide all services and materials necessary to remodel Room B609 (medical records area) into separate and fully functional office spaces as shown on drawings. Major elements of work include, but not limited to, demo of the existing ACT ceiling and grid, demo floor covering in project area, patch and prepare floor for new covering, demo exiting light fixtures and prepare for new, install new ACT ceiling, install new carpet in project area, patch VCT as needed to match existing, install additional receptacle drops as required for new office furniture layout, install additional data/communication drops as required for new office furniture layout, install new 2x4 recessed light fixtures as required for new office furniture layout, install new HVAC supply duct and diffusers, install new HVAC return diffusers and patch and paint existing walls and columns; and (4) Two Office Additions to Waiting Area Room 1557 - Contractor to provide all services and materials necessary to add two service counters to room 1557. Major elements of work include, but not limited to, relocate smoke detector, relocate north speaker, relocate north fire sprinkler head, demo north two recessed light fixtures, demo emergency light switch, demo the section of the ACT ceiling needed for project, demo floor covering in project area, install standard metal frame walls with 5/8 gypsum drywall, install HM window frames with wood doors to match existing, install new ACT ceiling to match existing area, install new carpet in project area, patch and paint existing walls in project area, patch VCT as needed to match existing, install four additional 4-plex receptacle drops, install two additional 4-plex data/communication drops, install four additional 2x4 recessed light fixtures, install two additional light switches, rework HVAC supply and return in project area, install new HVAC supply and return diffusers and rework fire sprinkler heads in project area. Details specifications and drawings will be included in the solicitation package. This construction project is set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs). All prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) as an SDVOSB to be considered for award. There will be a pre-construction conference held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-construction conference will be included in the solicitation package, but the conference is tentatively scheduled for April 1, 2008. This solicitation will be issued in accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006, Sections 502 and 503. Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted to SDVOSB construction firms as there is a reasonable expectation that two or more offers will be received under this solicitation. The solicitation package will be released on or About March 26, 2008 as an Invitation for Bid (IFB). There will be a public bid opening.
