This is a sources sought announcement, a market survey for written information only. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. No telephone calls will be accepted requesting a bid package or solicitation. There is no bid package or solicitation. In order to protect the procurement integrity of any future procurement, if any, that may arise from this announcement, information regarding the technical point of contact will not be given and no appointments for presentations will be made.
Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southeast (NAVFACSE) is seeking U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) sources with current relevant qualifications, experience, personnel, equipment, and capability to perform this proposed project at Naval Station Mayport, FL.
This is a Design-Build project for repairs to NS Mayport Building (Hangar) 1552. Hangar 1552 is a two story, steel framed, masonry structure with administrative, shop and open bay hangar spaces. The repairs are required to correct deficiencies due to age, normal wear and tear, exposure to the coastal marine environment, and building settlement. The project will repair exterior structural steel roof framing, stairwells; repair by replacing roof exhaust/smoke vents and roof, includes exterior painting. Repairs to roof framing will include LBP removal and abatement.
The estimated bid to budget range is $6.6 M. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236220 with a Small Business Size Standard of $31.0 million.
Interested sources are invited to respond to this sources sought announcement by providing the following information.
1) Past Experience: Submit a maximum of five (5) projects completed in the last three (3) years that are similar in size, scope, and complexity. For each of the completed projects submitted, provide:(a)the title; (b)location; (c)whether prime or subcontractor work; (d)type of contract (i.e. Firm-Fixed Price, IDIQ, etc.); (e)contract and subcontract value; (f)contract completion date; (g)narrative of work your firm performed; (h)percentage of self-performed work;(i)performance rating of the work;(j)customer point of contact including phone number
2) Provide experience of qualified team members on relevant projects described in 1) above working together as a design team, construction team, and as a design/construction team.
3) Bonding capacity: Provide suretys name, your maximum bonding capacity per project, and your aggregate maximum bonding capacity.
4) Identify whether your firm is an SBA certified 8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business concern, or Other Small Business.
Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. However, NAVFACSE will utilize the information for technical and acquisition planning. All proprietary information not to be disseminated in Government documents must be clearly identified.
