Synopsis:

THIS IS A SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. Furnish all necessary labor, tools, materials, equipment, transportation, permits, licenses and supervision for Project # 529-08-111, Demo Buildings #22 and #23, at the VA Medical Center, Butler, PA 16001 in accordance with the specifications and drawings. Work includes but is not limited to: building barriers and barricades, asbestos abatement, general construction, cutting, capping, and rerouting all utilities as specified, mechanical and electrical work, demolition of buildings, foundations, and footings, backfilling and compacting all excavations, and spreading topsoil and grass seed. Grass seed as specified by the Project Manager. Demolition includes: buildings 22 & 23, and associated foundations and footings, the Audiology Connecting Corridor, foundation, and footing, the wheel chair ramp, foundation, and footing, the parking lot on the west side of building #23, the parking lot to the south of the Audiology Connecting Corridor, and removal of asphalt to a line three (3) feet to the east of building #22. The contractor is responsible to remove any and all items containing asbestos. Completion Time: 150 calendar days. Price range is $250,000.00 - $500,000.00. NAICS Code is 238910. Bidding material/drawings will be available on/about September 10, 2008. A Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled on September 18, 2008 at 10:00 AM at the VA Medical Center, Butler, Building 21 (Rear) followed by a site visit. The Bid Opening date is on/about October 9, 2008. Bidders are advised that it is your responsibility to review and monitor the website frequently to ensure you have the most up to date information, including amendments.
