The General Services Administration is soliciting proposals to replace a 900 ton cooling tower at Bldg 20, Denver Federal Center (DFC), Lakewood, CO. Work will consist of removal of existing cooling tower and installation of a new cooling tower appropriately sized to accommodate the existing chillers, Baltimore Aircoil Company as the design basis, equipment rental necessary to perform the project, all electrical/water connections and controls, remove and replace existing variable frequency drives (VFD), remove and replace existing freeze protection system, install new service platform and start up and check unit for proper operation and proper water flow. Existing system is equipped with a Johnson Controls Metasys M5 building automation system, the new cooling tower shall be compatible to the existing system and all controls and automation system equipment shall be re-connected to the new cooling tower. The applicable NAICS code for this procurement is 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors, with a Small Business Size Standard of $12 million. The solicitation issue date will be on or about February 20, 2008. The proposal due date will be on or about March 19, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time.
The estimated cost range for this project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00.
A site visit will be scheduled on or about Wednesday, February 27, 2008 on the Denver Federal Center, final location to be determined.
It is anticipate that this Project will have a delayed Notice to Proceed issued on or about Friday, June 20, 2008.
Project final completion shall be Thursday, October 30, 2008.
