W912P8-08-R-0040 - WBV-3A; Westbank and Vicinity, New Orleans, La., Hurricane Protection Project (West of Algiers Canal) East of Harvey Canal Floodwall, Contract 3A: Hero Pump Station Fronting Protection, Jefferson and Plaquemines Parishes, Louisiana (ED 01-015) The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, is soliciting proposals for Westbank and Vicinity, New Orleans, La., Hurricane Protection Project (West of Algiers Canal) East of Harvey Canal Floodwall, Contract 3A: Hero Pump Station Fronting Protection, Jefferson and Plaquemines Parishes, Louisiana. Work consists of providing all labor, materials, incidentals, etc., to construct a fronting wall across the Hero Pumping Station and a floodwall along Concord Road, inclusive of two (2) steel roller gates, installation of subsurface drainage systems. Extensions of existing pump discharge pipes and related mechanical and electrical modifications at the Hero Pumping Station, dewatering and temporary retaining structures, excavation and embankment, site drainage, traffic control, minor road work, riprap, etc., all as shown on the Project Plans and Specifications. This is an Unrestricted procurement. NAICS: 237990, FSC: Y299. Solicitation will be issued on or about 07 May 2008 and Bid Opening Date will be issued 30 days from date of solicitation. The magnitude for this solicitation is estimated to be between $25,000,000.00 - $100,000,000.00. For security reasons, all technical and engineering data related to this solicitation will be distributed using the Federal Technical Data Solutions (FedTeDS) system. FedTeDS is a web-based dissemination tool designed to safeguard acquisition-related information for all Federal agencies. Interested bidders must register with FedTeDS before accessing the system. Registration instructions can be found on the FedTeDS website (https://www.fedteds.gov) by clicking on the Register with FedTeDS hyperlink. You are advised that FedTeDS currently does not have a Plan Holders List capability. However, you are encouraged, for marketing purposes, to register as an Interested Vendor in FedBizOps (www.fbo.gov).
