Synopsis:
T'IISTS'OOZI'Bi'OLTA (CROWNPOINT) COMMUNITY SCHOOL, CROWNPOINT, MCKINLEY COUNTY, NEW MEXICO. The proposed procurement is unrestricted, open to both large and small business concerns. NAICS is 236220/SIC 1542, with a size standard of $31,000,000.00. The magnitude of construction is more than $10,000,000. Bonding will be required for this acquisition. The bidders attention is directed to Section 00100 in the Solicitation for information regarding the tour of the site. Plans will be issued on or about M arch 21, 2008, with bids due on or about 22 April 2008. This solicitation will not be issued on paper. Large business firms are required to submit a contracting plan with the following minimum goals: 70.0% for small business; 62.0% for small disadvantaged business; 7.0% for women-owned small businesses; 9.8% for HUBZone small business; 3.0% for veteran owned small business, and 9.0% for sevice-disabled veteran owned small business. WORK CONSISTS of a new school and dormitory for the Crownpoint Community Sc hool with new facilities for kindergarten children through eighth grade with a projected enrollment of 497 students. The new school building includes elementary and middle school interdisciplinary and special purpose classrooms and support spaces, a cafete ria and a kitchen, a gymnasium with a basketball court, locker rooms, showers and storage rooms, and a library/media center. The new dormitory building will house 101 male and female students. This project will be advertised as an Invitation For Bid. Prop osed procurement will result in a firm fixed price contract. Additionally, a paper form for registration may be obtained from the DoD Electronic Commerce Information Center at 1-800-334-3414. This solicitation will be issued via Internet only. Notification of amendments shall be made via Internet only, as well. It is therefore the contractors responsibility to check the following address daily for any posted changes to this solicitation.
