The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Bay Pines VA Health Care System is looking for General Construction firms that are SDVOSB, VOSB, and/or WOSB. Additionally, the VA is looking for General Construction firms that are SBA certified in the following programs: 8(a), 8(a) ANC, HUBZone and SDB. The firm must be a General Construction firm approved under NAICS Code 236220 with a small business size standard of $31.0 Million, a bonding capacity of approximately $14.0 Million, and must have general construction and site development experience with contracts as the prime contractor in the $20.0 to $50.0 Million range.
The project will include the design and construction of two radiation therapy centers. One center, a stand-alone facility of approximately 11,000 to 13,500 GSF, will be located at the Bay Pines VAHCS in Bay Pines, FL. The second center, with approximately 11,000 to 13,000 GSF, will be an attachment to the main building of the VA Medical Center in West Palm Beach, FL. Both facilities will house linear accelerators as a component of the radiation therapy center. Specific experience with construction of radiation therapy/cancer treatment centers is a requirement.
