SYNOPSIS: The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office-SCRO, Grand Prairie, Texas, plans to issue IFB-BIG-0001 for roof replacement consisting of approximately 69,000 SF of roofing. Work also consists of removal of existing roofing system, felt underlayment, ballast, etc., repair/replace any damaged wood/metal substrate, flashing/accessories, roof drains and installation of new roofing system (Sheet metal and Built up). The project consists of furnishing all labor, equipment and materials for the complete construction located at the Federal Correctional Institution in Big Spring, Texas. The magnitude of this project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The solicitation will be available on or about April 22, 2008, with an anticipated bid opening date of June 5, 2008. The solicitation will be distrubuted solely through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities web site http//www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will NOT be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this solicitation, including solicitation amendments will also be distributed solely through this site. Faith Based and Community Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. This is a 100% small business set-aside.
