Description
The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools and equipment as per drawings and specifications at the Hudson Valley Healthcare System, Castle Point, NY 12511. Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, materials, equipment and tools for complete replacement of roof in building 35. Work includes but not limited to the following; Asbestos abatement removal and disposal of old roofing materials exposing the entire metal decking; installations of new roofing materials with tapered insulation and including all drains, base and curb flashings; cants; cappings; sealing of all penetrations on the roof; replacement of broken vent rain caps, maintain existing batten metal roof; install new, repair, and/or replace as required existing lighting protecting/grounding system. The firm is to provide all necessary site visits, preliminary surveys, and dimensional measurements and perform work meeting VA requirements and specifications. All workers and subcontractor workers shall have attended OSHA training as required and have current certificates. The order of magnitude for the procurement is $500,000 to $1,000,000 and the effort shall be completed with two hundred seventy (270) calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. This procurement is restricted to competition amongst Service-Disabled Veteran -Owned Small Business Set Aside. As a result, all qualified responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the agency. The NAICS Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 238160 and $13.0 million, respectively. The anticipated release date of the IFB (VA-243-08-IB-0133) is on or about March 26, 2008. The firm date for receipt of bids or offers will be stated in the IFB as well as the date of the pre bid conference. An organized site visit shall be scheduled and identified in the IFB.
