Synopsis:

This notice is for Project # 630A4-08-401, Pivot Window Replacement at the VA New York Harbor Healthcare System, Brooklyn Campus, 800 Poly Place, Brooklyn, NY 11209. This shall be a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside (SDVOSB). As a result, all SDVOSB's may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. This project is classified under NAICS Code 236220 and has a size standard of $31 Million. Pivot Window Replacement Work includes general construction, window installation, repair, painting, and touch up of interior and exterior assemblies and finishes as necessary for the removal and replacement of existing windows with new as shown on contract drawings and specifications. Work includes all window, lintel, and masonry work on West Wing, North face side of Building No. 1 at floor numbers 3 though 15 (Pivot Windows), and the removal and replacement of existing hopper window assemblies on 19th and 20th Floors (Penthouse), and the removal and replacement of existing interior top and bottom sash assemblies with new, including removal of all interior security screen assemblies at selected windows on the 15th floor as shown on plans and details and as specified (15 West and Short Stay Detox). All bathroom windows shall be frosted. All other details and information shall be contained in the solicitation which shall be posted on www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation will be released on or around April 30, 2008. The bid submittal address, date, and time will be included in the solicitation. This project requires bonding and all bid submissions shall be in hardcopies; faxed or e-mailed bids will not be accepted. All bidders shall be registered in www.ccr.gov, www.vetbiz.gov, and www.orca.bpn.gov.
