The Seattle District has a requirement for work required for habitat mitigation at 4 locations, including pioneering access roads to the Green River and its tributaries from established roads; constructing access roads sufficient for the equipment used; placing logs in stream beds; constructing in-water log jams using pile driving and other techniques; excavating ponds and side channel habitat; constructing a fish ladder (overall size 10 feet W x 20 feet L x 10 feet H) of concrete vault units; and restoring the site after construction. The Howard Hanson Dam Fish Ecosystem Restoration Project is located along approximately 30 miles on the Green River and its tributaries. All construction will be located on lands owned by the City of Tacoma.

All project sites are located in the City of Tacoma watershed above the Howard Hanson Dam, except for the Signani Slough site. Special equipment operating procedures, decontamination, and hydraulic fluids will be required. All work conducted belowthe ordinary high water line shall be subject to completion dates depending on a site-specific and weather basis.

This solicitation is open to both large and small business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237990 with a size standard of $31 million. For the purposes of this procurement, a firm is a small business if its annual average gross revenue, taken for the last 3 fiscal years, does not exceed $31 million.
