FCA Door and Hardware ReplacementScope of Work
The H.H. McGuire VAMC in Richmond, VA is seeking the services of a qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business to provide all labor, materials, transportation, equipment and supervision required to replace existing designated doors and associated hardware within the main medical center building (Building 500).
The types of doors shall include fire, smoke, typical office, exam and storage rooms. The door material will be steel or solid core wood veneer as per the detailed specifications. Installation will be coordinated to have the least impact on medical activities. The project includes door frame painting and door frame protectors. Also included are designated doors to be equipped with a physical access control system to enhance security. This security control system shall have all associated head end equipment supplied in this solicitation.
All work shall be completed within 180 calendar days after date of receipt of notice to proceed. This includes final inspection and cleanup. The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220 with a small business size standard of $31,000,000. The estimated dollar amount is between is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.
The specifications will be uploaded as part of the solicitation on/about May 22, 2008. A date and time for a pre-bid/walkthrough will be stated in the solicitation. The bid opening will be on/about June 24, 2008. The deadline for receipt of questions is one week prior to the bid opening.
To be qualified to bid on this project, firms must be registered at central contractor Registry and Vet Biz, prior to award. The Online Representations and Certifications must be completed by each bidder prior to the bid opening.
