Description
A MARKET SURVEY is being conducted to determine if there are adequate HUBZone, 8(a), or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors for the following proposed project:     Design/Build Contract including Alter, repair, and upgrade the existing 3 0,400 SF training building and existing 6,300 SF Organizational Maintenance Shop (OMS).     The two buildings were constructed in the late sixties.     Repairs will replace aging floors, ceilings, doors, and mechanical/electrical systems with new, modern materia ls and systems that meet current codes, (to include ADA-compliance considerations).     Minor construction will modify the building interior to include entrances, exclusive/common administrative offices, classrooms, latrines, lobby area, increased electrical capacity, and other modifications to improve functional efficiency.     New systems furniture will be installed in administrative office areas and classrooms.     Limited site work includes landscaping, fencing, gates, signage, handicapped parking/ramps, private ly-owned vehicle (POV) parking and military equipment parking (MEP) paving.     Antiterrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) security requirements are included in project scope.

Contract duration is 540 days and estimated cost range is between $5,000,000 and     $10,000,000.     NAICS is 236220.     Size limitation is $31.0M.     All interested HUBZone, 8(a), or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors should notify this office in writing by mail on or before February 19, 2008 by 2:00 pm Eastern Time.     Response s should include: (1) Identification and verification of the company by the Small Business Administration, as either a certified     HUBZone, certified 8(a), or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business,     (2) The level of performance and payment bonding capacit y that the company could attain for the proposed project,     (3) Past Experience - Provide descriptions of projects substantially complete or completed within the last five years which are similar to this project in size, scope, and dollar value.         Projects     considered similar in scope to this project include office complexes, schools, vehicle maintenance shops, and warehouses. With each project experience provided, include the date when the project was completed or will be complete, location of the project, contract amount and size of the project, the portion and percentage of work that was self performed, whether the project was design/build or not, and a description of how the experience relates to the proposed project.     Send responses to the U.S. Army Corp s of Engineers, Louisville District, 600 Dr. M.L.
