Project is Forest Products Laboratory Multi-Use Laboratory Phase 2, and will be constructed in Madison, Wisconsin. The project will consist of interior fit-out of laboratory space that is approximately 93,000 square feet in size. Work will include providing electrical and mechanical systems, installing equipment for forest products laboratory space, and providing for administrative space. The acquisition strategy will be design-bid-build, and the estimated award date is October 2008. Proposals will be evaluated based on the following technical factors: Experience, Past Performance, Management Approach, Price and Pro Forma Requirements. All evaluation factors, other than cost or price, when combined, are equal to cost or price. The estimated price range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The NAICS code is 236220, with a small business size standard of $33,500,000. The contract duration period is 300 calendar days. The Request for Proposals approximate issue date is 27 August 2008 and approximate closing date is 26 September 2008. The project is Unrestricted; however, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 19.1307(b), this project requires the HUB-Zone 10% price evaluation preference.
