This project is synopsized as solicitation number W911KB-08-R-0026. The Alaska District Corps of Engineers has a service disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) competitive requirement to build Family Housing, at McGrath, Alaska. Project con sists of the construction of 4 new single family housing units. New construction will include work on expanding and replacing existing utility infrastructure as well as roadway improvements. Project will include site utilities, landscaping, and miscellan eous site development work. Other trades include concrete foundation, rough and finish carpentry, gypsum wallboard, interior painting, steel siding, composition roof, blanket and rigid building insulation, vinyl flooring, carpet, countertop s, plumbing fi xtures, and electrical wiring and lighting fixtures. Estimated dollar value is in the range of $1,000,000 to $5,000,000 and the completion period is stated in the solicitation document. The NAICS code for this project is 236115 with a small business size standard of $31M. This requirement will be conducted in accordance with procedures outlined in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 15. The solicitation will be a Request for Proposals (RFP), and a firm-fixed-price contract will be negotiated a s a result of this procurement. This project is open only to service disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) concerns.
