CAVE CREEK BOUNDARY FENCE PRESOLICITATION NOTICE
AG-94TZ-S-08-0004
Solicitation will be available on or about January 2, 2008.
PROPOSALS DUE: February 1, 2008 at close of business.
Total 100 Percent SBA Certified Hub Zone Set-Aside. NAICS Code 238990, Size Standard $12 million.
CAVE CREEK SOUTH BOUNDARY FENCE- The contractor shall provide all fence materials, labor, equipment, supervision, transportation of materials, and any incidentals needed to clear a right-of-way and construct the new fence. Project consists of clearing a right-of way and constructing approximately 13 miles of new four-strand smooth wire fence on National Forest System Lands within the Cave Creek Ranger District. Most of the fence right-of-way will require cutting and clearing palo verde, mesquite, ironwood, catclaw acacia, jojoba, and brush. Approximately half of the fence right-of-way can be accessed by a full-sized vehicle as the fence line lies adjacent to existing roads. The other half of the fence line can be accessed at points along the fence using four-wheelers. Approximately 2 to 4 miles may require the use of pack animals. The fence will be constructed on the National Forest Boundary from the southwest corner beneath the 345 kv transmission lines south of Wildcat Hill east to the northwest corner of section 25 along 176th Street near the Dynamite/Rio Verde Road and Forest 20 ( Needle Rock Road) intersection.
PROJECT IS LOCATED: 10 miles east of Carefree, Arizona beginning approximately 2.5 miles south of the Cave Creek Road/ Bartlett Dam Road intersection on the Forest Boundary, then follows the Forest Boundary 4 miles east to 144th Street, then south on the boundary along 144th Street 3 miles to Lone Mountain Road, then on the boundary along Lone Mountain Road east 2 miles to 160th Street, then north on the boundary along 160th Street for two thirds of a mile, then east on the boundary for 2 miles to 176th Street, then south on the boundary along 176th Street to the northwest corner of section 25.
PRICE RANGE is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. A Bid Bond is required, and Performance and Payment Bonds will be required within 10 days after contract award.
PRE-BID MEETING If there will be a formal pre-proposal meeting it will be scheduled and announced in the solicitation.
