The Asheville VAMC, NC is pre-soliciting qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses in construction to provide all labor, materials, transportation, equipment and supervision to provide Exterior Maintenance for Bldg 47 at the Asheville VAMC, NC. All work shall be completed within 180 days after notice to proceed, which includes 60 days allowance for submittals. The NAICS code is 236220; small business size is $13,000,000.00. The estimated dollar amount of this procurement is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Expect the solicitation to be posted with uploaded drawings and specifications on/or about 12 May 08. Firms with no access to view .pdf drawings must request drawings in writing, as no telephone requests will be accepted. Pre-bid/walk-through will be held on 16 May 08 at 1300hrs at bldg. 15, 3rd floor, rm 330. Bid opening will be on/or about 12 Jun 08 and the deadline for receipt of questions is one week prior. General-This project will provide maintenance to the exterior of main building 47 (not including roofing). It includes, but is not limited to such services as power washing, sandblasting, tuckpointing brick, waterproofing, and caulking. Project involves lifts and/or scaffolding and contractor must meet all OSHA and VA criteria for safety.
