This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for construction. The Government is soliciting bids from 8a Set Aside Businesses only. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are requested and a WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Location of work: 183rd Fighter Wing, Springfield, IL. Magnitude of Construction: between $1 and $5 million. Solicitation will be available after June 6, 2008 on web site. Request solicitation by registering at the web site: http://www.nationalguardcontracting.org. Solicitation, amendments, specifications and drawings may be down loaded from that site. Estimated proposal due date is July 30, 2008 and award date of August 15, 2008. NAICS code is: 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction (formerly 233320) and the small business size standard is $31 Million. SIC code is: 1542 General Contractors Nonresidential Buildings, Other Than Industrial Buildings and Warehouses. The government intends to award a firm fixed price contract. The work shall consist of, but not limited to: water, electrical, and communication services, concrete foundation, pavement between Hush House and existing driveways, storm sewer relocation and new sanitary sewer, oil water separator, and utility stub-ups into Hush House foundation. SITE VISIT: site visits will be held prior to the bid date on 25 June 2008 at 10:00 AM and 26 June 2008 at 2:00 PM (local time). You may attend either, both or none.
