Synopsis:

U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC) intends to issue a contract to Mobile Mini Inc, Colorado Springs, CO through solicitation no. W91260-08-T-0005 pursuant to the authority of FAR Parts 6.3, 12 and 13.501(a) sole source acquisitions. Mobile Mini Inc will be providing continued rental of two (2) 24'x 60' Double-Wide Modular Office Trailers US Army Space and Missile Defense (SMDC) 1st Spacae Battalion, JTAGS-IQT, 2525 Aviation Way, Colorado Springs CO 80916 for additional year. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulations document (FAR) subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-26. The proposed contract action is for lease/rental for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501. There is only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements. The two (2) 24' x 60' Double-Wide Modular Office Trailers are currently rented from Mobile Mini Inc and in use by 1st Space Battalion, JTAGS-IQT. Mobile Mini Inc is the only source capable of providing rental renewal for these two existing office trailers for an additional year. A justification for Other than Full and Open Competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors, applies to this acquisition to the extent consistent with a sole source acquisition. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with its offer. The clause at FAR 52.212-4, Contract terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The clause at FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. This is not a solicitation nor is it a formal request for proposal.
