Synopsis:

The US Forest Service, Fremont-Winema National Forest anticipates the issuance of a solicitation for a 5,000 Gallon Water Trailer per attached specifications:

Trailer

5,000 gallon capacity
Non stainless steel tank and plumbing
Passenger side mounted lockable, lighted engine/pump compartment
Driver side, lockable, lighted compartment equal to the passenger side compartment
Spring suspension, the heaviest axle rating available (to handle 5,000 gallons of water)
S-Cam, air, self adjusting brakes
LED tail and marker lights, DOT warning lights/markings/stickers
2 man holes, 20 minimum on top of tank. One each located front 1/3 of tank and one located at the rear 1/3 of tank
16 ply tires
Water level indicator/sight tube on rear of trailer
Ladder on rear of trailer to access the top of tank
Non-skid expanded metal cat walk with 5 side boards
1 overflow drains from top of tank
One on each side rear flood lights with on/off switch on control panel
10 Neuton or equivalent rear dump with 2 chute extension
Two speed landing gear with feet
King pin to landing gear distance 90 , King pin to rear of trailer 29 ft. minimum, overall length 31 ft. minimum.
Baffles the same as the fire specifications on cross baffling system
Adequate hangers for suction hose
Rust inhibitor inside tank
3/16 inch thickness of tank walls
Glad hands/power supply located at top front of trailer.

Engine

Self contained engine/pump unit
Duetz model F3L 1011 or equivalent diesel engine with extended air intake
20 30 gallon fuel tank with external fuel gauge

Pump

4 Berkley Model B4ZRKS or equivalent trash pump with accessible manual priming
4 suction hose 30 long, with 4 male cam lock quick connect and suction screen with max. 1/8 inch mesh screen.

Plumbing

Driver controlled rear spray pods, one each on driver and passenger side, with 3 BME or equivalent, air operated pods.
4 passenger side pressure with male cam lock quick connect
1 passenger side pressure with fire thread male fitting
turn brass ball valves
inch drains with turn valves adequate to drain entire system
4 suction on passenger side with Female cam lock quick connect
