Description
The Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate, Rome, NY intends to solicit and negotiate a sole source purchase under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 with Ralph W. Earl CO., INC., P.O. Box 2369, 5930 E. Molloy Road, Syracuse NY 13220, two (2) RWE94531 Custom Adjustable Video Projector Mounting Tables. Though this notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations, information received by the response date of the solicitation will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The NAICS code for this procurement is 811310.
Sole Source Justification:
AFRL/RISB require 2 projector mounts for the development of a 16 Mega-pixel interactive display to support a collaboration with NASA Ames Research Center to develop National Airspace System visualization concepts and display technology, that will in turn serve as an AFRL/RI visualization and display system resource. Ralph W. Earl CO. is the sole proprietor of this technology and the sole organization that AFRL/RISB can acquire these customized mounting tables from.
The Ralph W. Earl CO,. INC. customized Adjustable Video Projector Mounts, RWE94531, are custom designed for Sony SRX-S105 video projectors, lens center at 64? off the floor, X, Z, and YAW fine-tune adjustments on rail bearing supports, pitch and roll independently adjustable at each corner with center air spring support, aluminum T slot base structure with leveling feet (Y adjustment), external railing to prevent accidental misalignment of projector mount.
