Description
The U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 6, Lakewood, Colorado is requesting quotes from qualified and eligible firms capable of furnishing various types of native seed. Native Defined: Plant material (seeds) that is the same species as plant material naturally occurring at the site and whose origin is from the region where it is being planted. It may be wildland-harvested, pre-varietal or variety/cultivar plant material (seeds) as long as the first generation of plant material came from the region where it is being planted, (northern Front Range of Colorado). (1) Species should be the requested variety or native to the plains of Colorado. (2) Weights are based on dehulled Pure Live Seed. (3) Provide price per pound PLS for each species and extended amount. (4) Seed test information shall accompany each species. Certification shall include purity, germination test results and dates of test, % weed seed content, and seed lot number. (6) Lot numbers shall be indicated on packing lists and invoices. (7) Vendor shall furnish and deliver FOB-Rocky Mountain Arsenal NWR, Commercity City, Colorado. (8) Seed is required NLT August 1, 2008. This acquisition will be set aside for small business. The estimated magnitude is between $100,000 and $250,000. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 111998 with a Business Size Standard of $0.75M. The solicitation package is anticipated to available electronically on/or about February 6, 2008 with a closing date of March 7, 2008. Copies of the Request for Quotation, can be obtained at www.fbo.gov once available for issuance. All questions regarding subject requirement shall be submitted in writing to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Attention Ms. Cathleen DeBerry, P.O. Box 25486, DFC, Denver, Co 80225 or fax to 303/236-4791. In order to be eligible for award, all responsible sources submitting proposals are required to be registered as an Active vendor in Central Contractor's Registration (CCR) (www.ccr.gov) by the closing date of the solicitation. Award shall not be made to firms who have not registered as an Active vendor in CCR will not be considered.
