Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with    additional information included in this notice. This announcement    constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a    written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation, RABQ2080010,    is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). The solicitation document and    incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal    Acquisition 2005-18. The North American Industry classification (NAICS)    code is 485999. The proposed contract is a Small Business Set-Aside. All    responsible business sources may submit a quote, which will be considered    by the Government. This office is requesting quotes on providing a    detailed educational field trip agenda for thirty-four (34) passengers.    Thirty (30) of the passengers are students from Wingate Elementary School    plus four (4) chaperones.    The field trip is to New York, NY and Boston,    MA.    This field trip is to extend classroom learning, provide    multi-cultural experiences, encourage independence and self discipline,    promote social skills, motivate student performance and academic    excellence, stimulate intellectual creativity and critical thinking    skills.    Services include the following:    1. Lodging in a first class    hotel. Full-service properties are to be used.    Hotel shall be chosen with    concern for chaperoning and security in mind.    Where possible, groups    shall be placed in a hotel with a swimming pool and/or game room.      Students shall be housed four per room. Complimentary chaperones shall be    housed two to a room.    2.    Round trip air transportation to and from    Albuquerque, NM to New York, from New York to Boston, from Boston to    Albuquerque    3.    All sightseeing transfers aboard deluxe air-conditioned,    restroom equipped motor coach with professional driver.    Exclusive use of    own motor coach, and the complete daily use of the coach for all scheduled    sightseeing and allowing for maximum flexibility and comfort.    4.    All    sightseeing lecturing shall be provided by a licensed, local guide.    5.      Three hearty meals per day.    6.    Comprehensive accident, illness and    accident-related, dental and life insurance for all participants.    7.    All    admissions, taxes and gratuities.    8.    Offeror shall be responsible for    the operation of the tour.    9.    Offeror shall meet tour participants at    the airport for departure from Albuquerque and Boston as well as arrival    in New York and Boston.    10.    Offeror shall provide a complete packet of    pre-tour materials including custom designed itineraries, and an    ID/emergency information card.    11.    Offeror shall create an itinerary of    sites to be toured and visited while in New York and Boston.    The school    shall have the option to review the proposed itinerary and to give the    offeror feedback on the proposed itinerary so that the offeror can make    the necessary adjustments based on the school?s suggestions and comments.      12.    Some of the sites that the school would like to visit in New York are    the following:    The Rockerfeller Center, St. Patrick?s Cathedral, Radio    City Music Hall, Chinatown, Little Italy, The Empire State Building,    Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Ground Zero, Wall Street, South Street    Seaport, A Broadway Show and Times Square.    Some of the sites in Boston    are as follows:    Freedom Trail, Cambridge, The Mayflower II, Plymouth    Plantation, and the John F. Kennedy Library and Museum.    13.    Free teacher    and chaperone ratio (1 to 10). Dates of service:    April 29, 2008, Departing Albuquerque, NM and arriving    in New York, NY;    May 2, 2008, Departing New York, NY arriving in Boston,    MA;    May 3, 2008 departing Boston, MA and arriving in Albuquerque, NM . Please include your TAX ID Number, CAGE Number (obtain at www.ccr.gov),    and DUNS Number when submitting your quote. The Offeror shall provide a    lump rate cost for each tour participant.    This solicitation incorporates    one or more solicitation provisions by reference, with the same force and    effect as if they were given if full text. Upon request, the CO will make    their full text available. Award will    be based on the Best Value to the Government, overall acceptable quote, as    submitted by a responsible offeror & ability to provide the above    requirements.
