Mobile District intends to solicit GE Fanuc authorized North American sources for Proficy iFix and Historian products in order to upgrade the existing SCADA and control systems for various Corps of Engineers power plants throughout Georgia pursuant to the authority under FAR 6.302. The current versions vary from iFix 2.5 to 4.0 and Historian 2.0 to 3.0. The original supply contract for the SCADA system provided all of the hardware and software and to switch to a different software would impact the Corps by losing investments in equipment and installation costs and pose compatibility problems between current equipment and replacement equipment. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by 2:00pm, June 3, 2008 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action, as stated above, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
