ADVERTISEMENT FOR MATERIALS AND SOILS AND WATERPROOFING TESTING AND INSPECTION SERVICES
UCLA requests a written response to the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and a Request for Proposal (RFP) for consideration in selecting a Consultant to provide services for the project listed below, including 1) materials testing and deputy inspection and waterproofing testing and inspection, 2) soils testing and inspection. Consultant shall include a separate Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) and rate information for the testing and inspection service proposed. The University reserves the right to select one or both services as proposed by consultant.
UCLA Police Station Replacement Building Project #948424.01
The University of California at Los Angeles Police Station Replacement Building is a 22,000 gross square foot Type VN building. The building site is graded and ready for excavation.
The Police Station Replacement Building project will consist of concrete foundations work, the provision of domestic and fire water, sewer and storm drainage, power, emergency power, paving, landscaping and site lighting. Interior work will consist of the provision of AV and security systems infrastructure, casework, lockers, window coverings and detention equipment.
The value of construction is approximately $13,000,000. Construction completion is anticipated for Winter 2009.
UCLA will select the firm based on the qualifications and proposals presented in response to this RFQ/RFP. Principal criteria for selection are 1) experience providing testing and inspection for similar projects, 2) availability of qualified testing and inspection staff and testing facilities, and 3) competitive rates and unit pricing.
The complete request for qualifications (RFQ) and request for proposal (RFP) packet will be available at www.capital.ucla.edu/rfq.html. The RFQ/RFP packet may also be obtained by submitting a request via facsimile (fax number 310 206-3128; attn: Carol Esser) starting Thursday, March 27, 2008, and authorizing use of the firms Federal Express account for return of the packet. Please note the University will be closed Friday, March 28, 2008 Responses to the RFQ/RFP are due by 4:00 pm on Thursday, April 10, 2008.
