UC Irvine invites sealed Bids for a Lump Sum Contract for UC Irvine Medical Center - Pavilion IV Renovation for Cardiology Suite, Project No. 994182 at UCI Medical Center in Orange, CA.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Remodel 5,000 sf of Bldg 25 for a new Cardiology Suite to include demolition, underground utilities, concrete, structural steel, millwork, glazing, metal stud framing, lead shielding, gypsum board, finishes, specialty items, plumbing, mechanical and electrical with seismic upgrading (no abatement).
Est. Cost: $1,900,000

BIDDER QUAL: Bidders not meeting the quals in the Contract Docs will not be eligible for award.
BID SUBMITTAL REQS: Sealed Bids due 2PM, 4/18/08. Recd and opened only at: UCI D&CS, 5201 California Ave, Ste. 250, Irvine, CA 92697. Contract will be awarded to lowest responsive bidder.
MANDATORY PRE-BID CONF: 4/1/08 Pre-Bid Conf and Site Visit promptly at 10:15 AM at UCIMC Bldg 22A , 2nd Floor, Room 2107, 101 The City Dr., Orange, CA 92868. ONLY GCs attending can submit Bids.
REQD BID SECURITY: 10% bid security. Surety issuing bid bond shall be an admitted surety insurer (as defined in the CA Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120) at bid deadline.
Successful GC and subs must follow nondiscrimination reqs in Bid Docs and pay prevailing wages at location of Work. Current and active General Building B CA contractor's license req.
