Description
This is a pre-solicitation notice to provide pyrotechnic special effects, wound special effects, and role player support services for two individual training evolutions to be held at Camp Pendleton CA, 92055 (Infantry Immersion Trainer). The training evolutions will be conducted 09 April through 11 April 2008 and 15 April through 17 April 2008. The pyrotechnics required are simulated Rocket Propelled Grenades (RPGs) and Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) that safely simulate realistic weapons effects. Special effects will also include native dress and foreign weapons for Role Players (specific to the Middle East) and realistic wound make up that will simulate blast injuries sustaining severe combat trauma. The Government is soliciting quotations and a written solicitation will be issued (M00681-08-T-0053). This requirement will be solicited as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS Code is 611430 with a size standard of $6.5 million. Award will be made utilizing ! simplified acquisition procedures for commercial items under the authority of FAR part 13. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price contract as a result of quotations received in response to this solicitation. The solicitation will be available for down-load on or about 20 March 2008.
