Description
Western Area Power Administration, Rocky Mountain Region (Western) intends to award one contract for a Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) Transmission Line Inspection Software Application.     The requirement is for a software application that (a) automates periodic field data collection activities, utilizing portable/mobile devices, to collect and store transmission line inspection data; and (b) allows for transfer of the data to a centralized database. The requirement includes but is not limited to software, licenses, documentation, and software maintenance, support and updates as well as incidental services such as implementation, integration, testing and training.     Term of contract is anticipated to be one base year and four option years.     The solicitation will be issued as a 100% small business set-aside.     The NAICS code is 511210 or 541511 or 541519 and the applicable size standard is $23 million.     The solicitation (Request for Quotes/RFQ) will be issued electronically on or about February 6, 2008.     Quotes will be evaluated based upon the criteria stated in the RFQ.     Contractor must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be considered for award.     Contractors may register at www.ccr.gov.     DUNS number is required for CCR registration.     Proposals are due by 3:00 PM Mountain Time on Friday, February 29, 2008.
