Bid Description:
The Town of Colchester is seeking separate sealed bids for the construction of the Fort Ethan Allen Stormwater Improvements project. Fort Ethan Allen has been identified as having four drainage areas associated with Sunderland Brook, two of which were identified as Select Contributors in the Sunderland Brook WIP. Within these drainage areas there are several closed drainage systems that discharge to an existing wooded ravine area located adjacent to Troy Avenue at the head of an unnamed tributary of Sunderland Brook. The project involves construction of a Micropool Extended Detention Pond to be constructed in the ravine. Funding is being provided by the Federal Highway Administration (SAFETEA-LU's Vermont Municipal Stormwater Mitigation Grant). Bidder's are reminded that Federal Wage Rates - Davis-Bacon Act, does apply to the WORK.
Special Instructions:
Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check payable to the Owner for five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. A bid bond may be used in lieu of a certified check.
