U. S. GOVERNMENT SEEKS EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR TOWER SPACE. Wellsboro, Pennsylvania. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) seeks expressions of interest from owners and authorized agents of existing towers. NOAA presently has a NOAA Weather Radio (NWR) antenna at approximately 90 feet above ground level (AGL)/2,030 above mean sea level (AMSL) on a tower at 1476 Dutch Hill Road, Wellsboro, PA along with approximately 20 square feet (SF) of floor space in an adjacent structure for a NWR transmitter; and is seeking expressions of interest from owners of other towers in and around the area of Wellsboro, PA for possible relocation of the antenna and equipment. This broadcast antenna provides NWR Tioga County in north central Pennsylvania. The Government will consider relocation only if a move is economically advantageous. The Government will consider agency mission requirements, the cost of moving, installation of equipment, etc., when deciding whether it should relocate. Occupancy would be required by September 1, 2008 and will be for 5 years. This advertisement is not a basis for negotiation. The Government reserves the right to reject any or all expressions of interest and give consideration to properties other than those offered in response to this advertisement. AMOUNT: Position on a tower at c. 2,030 feet AMSL for the placement of NWR property consisting of a WRX/8 - Half wave dipole, 8 Bay antenna that is 37.33' in length; plus floor area in an adjacent structure for placement of a 2 G1000 Armstrong transmitters. NWR will provide and install the equipment. LOCATION: Tower must be in or around the area of Wellsboro, PA. REQUIRED: Utilities, air-conditioning, and standby power are requested as part of the rental consideration. TERM: The lease shall be for a term of 5 years.
