Synopsis:

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate and award a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) order under BOA number N00019-05-G-0008 for continuation of advanced technical concepts development to provide engineering analysis for potential Tomahawk Weapon System upgrades. System engineering and analysis activities shall include further analysis of various alternatives for potential upgrades to improve the Tomahawk Weapon System's design performance, and/or capability/maturity. NAVAIR intends to award this effort to Raytheon Missile Systems, P.O. Box 11337, Tucson, Arizona 85734-1337. Raytheon is the only company capable of performing this effort. Since 1994, Raytheon has been the sole develper, designer and manufacturer for the Tomahawk Missile. Raytheon solely possesses the current configuration and manufacturing data for the Tomahawk missile. Raytheon currently manages the key requirements, interface, integration, and verification documents for the Tomahawk Weapon System. Because a detailed knowledge and expertise of the Tomahawk missile is required to perform the services and engineering support necessary, Raytheon is the only source capable of accomplishing this requirement in the required timeframe without duplication of costs.
