Toad salvage project will be offered as a Stewardship Contract. Project is located near Escalante, Utah within the Dixie National Forest. The project area contains 737 acres, and service items will include site preparation for planting, tree planting and fence construction. Management goals include establishment of appropriate forest cover following a fire in conifer stands and riparian area protection.
The approximate posting date for the solicitation will be 03 September 2008 with the applicable maps / drawings and attachments to this same website. The closing date for this solicitation will be 01 October 2008. Tentative collaboration meeting is scheduled for 15 September 2008 at 11:00 a.m. local time at the Escalante Ranger District.
