*Combined Synopsis/Solicitation Notice Synopsis*
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subparts 12.6 and 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested from qualified sources of American manufactured ABS grade mooring chain as specified below.
The NAICS Code for this procurement is 332999 and the size standard is 500 Employees. This is a 100% small business set-aside.
GENERAL. The Contractor will furnish the qualified personnel, equipment, and material necessary to fabricate Mooring chain and accessories under FM3, ABS RQ3S or ABS 3 grade specifications, in accordance with the SOW.
*PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS. At a minimum, the following items shall be submitted as part of the Contractors proposal for evaluation:
a) Proof of your chain manufacturing facility, is currently approved by the American Bureau of Shipping for the size chain described in the SOW. b) A copy of the manufacturers Quality Control Plan demonstrating adherence to the required quality assurance procedures as called out by the FM3 and ABS specifications.c) Welder qualifications and qualified weld procedures to be used.d) Inquires received within 10 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government in the future. ****************************Note:Proposals are due by 21 April 2008 at Noon PST.
